Wednesday’s Lyrics #2

Wednesday's LyricsI’ve been remiss in keeping up with Wednesday’s Lyrics, so my apologies.

The concept is quite simple really and it goes a little something like this:

Each Wednesday I’ll post lyrics to a song that has inspired or moved me and a brief reason why I chose it. It may not be a song I heard that week. It could be one that popped into my head from years long gone. It could be the entire song or just a few lines.

Please feel free to join the link up and share the song lyrics that have inspired or moved you.

The lyrics are simple, yet true. As a Christian I have struggled with all things related to God and my faith and my navigation of daily life. I heard this song over the weekend and (it’s not the first time) had a little moment. I thought that no matter what I’m going through; no matter my trails and tribulations that my God has a power that no man has. He can and will break every chain that binds me. And for that I am grateful.

Break Every Chain by Tasha Cobbs

[Lead:]
There is power in the name of Jesus [x3]
To break every chain, break every chain,
Break every chain. [x2]

[Chorus:]
There is power in the name of Jesus [x3]
To break every chain, break every chain,
Break every chain. [x2]

[Lead:]
There’s an army rising up. [x3]
To break every chain, break every chain,
Break every chain. [x2]

[Chorus:]
There is power in the name of Jesus [x3]
To break every chain, break every chain,
Break every chain. [x2]

[Chorus:]
There’s an army rising up. [x3]
To break every chain, break every chain,
Break every chain. [x2]

[Vamp:]
I hear the chains falling.

[End:]
There is power in the name of Jesus
To break every chain, break every chain,
Break every chain.
