Weekend Coffee Share

This past week has been a little hectic. Quite a few things happened and most of the plans came together pretty quickly.

If we were having coffee. . .

I’d say welcome back and thanks for stopping by. And that it’s actually more wine time, well for me anyway. But you are more than welcome to pour yourself a cuppa or have some tea or whatever drink you so desire.  So, pull up a chair and enjoy the randomness.

A quick update: I had my interview and think it went well. I won’t know anything for a few weeks. Since the job is with 4-H there is an FBI background investigation. When they were giving me an overview of the job, I know I got visibly excited because of some of the duties involve use my creative side. So, fingers crossed.

If we were having coffee. . .

I’d tell you I got tired of my hair so I cut it. I like it, but. . . it’s not the way I want it. I’ve decided to get it cut in more of mohawk style. Had one years ago and loved it.

I’d also tell you, that I decided to play tourist at the American History Museum. Although I loved living Denver, Colorado being back in D.C. is great. There’s a saying, “You never know what you had til it’s gone” and that is so very true. I totally took for granted the culture that is here.

The Batmobile

Perhaps one of my all time favorite Muppets

The Swedish Chef

Archie and Edith Bunker’s chairs

“Float like a butterfly sting like a bee” – Muhammed Ali, The Greatest

After the museum and on my walk back to the subway and already drenched, I decided to snap a few pics.

Smithsonian Castle

United States Capitol

The Washington Monument

If we were having coffee. . .

I’d tell you that next weekend I’ll be off line because I’m head to West Virginia for some white water rafting. It’s been about 3 years since I’ve rafted and have been needing to go for a while now.

  1. I do like DC a lot. I love all of the museums even though I’ve visited a few of the big ones a dozen times or more. I would never be able to stand the summer heat, though. Visiting for a week in August is doable, but… I think Colorado would be easier on me weather-wise.

Good luck on the job! And have a great time rafting.
